 DJ MASSERN (Costa Rica)
Jose David Chaverri aka Massern was born on August, 20th, 1988 in Cartago, Costa Rica.
He got involved into the psytrance scene at his early 16, by starting to visit the different parties and festivals at that time.
After meeting the lifestyle and purposes of what psychedelic culture is all about. He decided to go further by learning the basic djing techniques and got involved with the local crew psynomads.
Massern´s first performance was on November 12th in 2006, at the Fossiland 3 Open Air Festival organized by the nomads. From that moment on he continued to play on different parties and festivals throughout Costa Rica.
After a couple of years of hard work and dedication he got invited to his first international festival, on June 14th, 2008. Massern had the opportunity to play at the Rave del Castillo Festival in Guatemala.
During all his journery he has had so far the opportunity to share decks with remarkable international artists such as: Necropsycho from Brasil, Blisargon Demogorgon from Macedonia, Exaile from Israel, Psychoz from Macedonia, and many others that come to Costa Rica to have a wonderful time!
Currently Massern is working on a Live Act project which is expected to be completed sometime soon. He is still discovering new techiques to be a better artist day by day.
Finally he would like to invite all those curious artists and psytrancers to come visit Costa Rica so that you all can enjoy an amazing trip full of nature and peace!!
